Frequently Asked Questions
Executive Coaching
Q: What is executive coaching?
A: Executive coaching is a personalized, one-on-one process that helps leaders gain clarity, build confidence, and develop strategies to lead. It’s about unlocking your potential, overcoming challenges, and stepping into your most authentic leadership style.
Q: How is coaching different from mentoring or therapy?
A: One major difference is while therapists and mentors provide advice, coaches do not. Coaches believe the answers are all within you, and your coach will help you discover those answers while building sustainable habits and sharpening your leadership skills. Mentors often draw on their own or someone else’s experience to provide advice and guidance, and therapists often dig deep into past challenges, work collaborative on those challenges and provide solutions and advice.
Q: How long is a typical coaching engagement?
A: Most leaders work with a coach for 3–6 months or longer, depending on their goals. We’ll customize the experience to fit your leadership journey.
Q: Who is executive coaching for?
A: Coaching with IMPACT Executive Coaching is for ambitious leaders—executives, managers, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders—who want to lead more effectively, inspire others, and make a meaningful impact. Whether you are an experienced executive working to move up or you are just beginning your leadership journey, we are here to help.
Q: How do I know if coaching is right for me?
A: If you’re ambitious, open to feedback, and ready to take action toward your goals, coaching will give you the structure and support to thrive.
Q: How do I get started?
A: It’s simple—schedule a discovery call, and we’ll explore your goals together to determine the right program for you.
Q: Is coaching confidential?
A: Absolutely yes. Confidentiality is foundational. What you share remains between you and your coach, unless you choose otherwise. Coaches are bound by the same confidentiality rules as therapists, so it is a confidential process where you can speak openly without judgment. Once you begin your journey, you will learn more about how your privacy is maintained.
Women’s Collective
Q: What is the Women’s Collective?
The Women’s Collective is a program focused on helping women with their leadership journey. The program has various activities and you can participate in one or all. Being part of our mentorship program, as a mentor or mentee, is one activity. Attending our networking events is another. And our group coaching is a leadership intensive program where groups will meet regularly as a group and discuss a variety of leadership challenges and learn from each other. Each session will focus on a different leadership topic and this leadership intensive will also feature guest speakers and require your active participation. You may also take advantage of scheduling some one-on-one executive coaching to round out the experience or to have a check in on your individual progress.
Group Coaching
Q: How long are the group coaching leadership intensive programs?
A: We offer different packages based on your journey. One program takes 8 weeks with weekly 1.5-2 hour meetings. Our more intensive program would cover up to 6 months and include one full day of programming per month. We also have an ongoing leadership intensive that will include a core group of individuals that will meet monthly on an ongoing basis. Please contact us for more details on any of these options. This is your journey, so we will be flexible to help you get there.
Q: How is group coaching different from 1:1 coaching?
A: Group coaching combines professional coaching with the power of peer support. While 1:1 coaching is deeply personalized, group coaching provides shared learning, diverse perspectives, and connection with other women leaders.
Q: Do I need to be in a leadership role to join?
A: Whether you’re stepping into leadership for the first time or already leading teams, the program is designed to meet you where you are and help you rise with confidence. Our 1:1 coaching would be a perfect for an emerging leader as would one of our group coaching sessions, while our intensive leadership programs generally are more beneficial for current leaders.
Q: What makes this program different?
A: Unlike traditional leadership programs, the Women’s Collective blends coaching, community, and authentic connection. It’s a safe space for courageous conversations, skill-building, and transformational growth designed specifically for women.
Mentorship Program
Q: How does the mentorship program work?
A: We match mentors and mentees based on experience, goals, and interests. Pairs meet regularly (usually monthly) for 3–6 months to share insights, strategies, and encouragement. Mentors will have access to other tools and resources that may help with your learning and discussions.
Q: Who can be a mentor?
A: Mentors are experienced leaders who want to give back by supporting the next generation of women in leadership.
Q: Who can be a mentee?
A: Mentees are women who are ready to grow, learn, and take bold steps in their leadership journey.
General
Q: How do I know which program is right for me?
A: It depends on your goals and preferred format:
Executive Coaching → one-on-one, personalized development
Group Coaching → structured, cohort-based learning with coaching in a peer community
Mentorship → career guidance and knowledge transfer
Community Events → single workshops, panels, or talks for inspiration and connection
We also offer discovery calls to help you choose the best fit.
Q: Are sessions virtual, in-person, or hybrid?
A: We offer flexible formats and virtual can work well for 1:1 coaching or for some of our group coaching programs. However, some of our more intensive group coaching programs will require in-person to be the most effective. Many of our networking events will be in-person as well.
Q: What are the costs and payment options?
A: Our 1:1 Executive Coaching starts at $100 per hour, but there are package discounts that we are happy to discuss. Our group coaching costs varies based on the type of program (weekly vs monthly vs ongoing). Our goal is to be transparent with all of our pricing proposals and will try to be flexible to your needs. Payment can be made via Venmo or PayPal or we can discuss alternatives.
Q: Can my organization sponsor or pay for my participation?
A: Of course! We are happy to put together a specific proposal and contract with goals and ROI for your HR and leadership development teams.
Q: What if it’s not the right fit?
A: This is your journey and we want you to be successful. If after your initial session you feel it isn’t working, we can help you transition to another group or program that might better suit your needs.
